i use Norton Internet Security 2005

But it does take a LOT of system resources, so dont think about installing it unless uve got at least a 2ghz (intel) or 2.6ghz (amd) system with at least 512mb of system memory.

Free Edition, Free updates, no subscription fees..

I use it as Norton failed to detect a virus which killed the Norton program..

probably one of the better "free" av programs, but still complete bollocks.

had many virus's this didnt detect.

Chairman, was it NIS 2005?

i never run any virus prgrams in the background, just the xp firewall, and i scan using Ad-aware professional 6 everyday takes 5 mins, and i have never had a virus and my computers on 24/7 downloading bits and bobs!, ad aware always finds tracking cookies everyday, normally trojan horses what fcuk your computer up coz they multiply when u open them.

Always updated Norton, but theres always a chance a new virus could get on your system, before you receive an update..
I cant remember what version i had running now, But Ive not had any problems since

I run AVG, Norton Antivirus 2003 and Mcafee and i've no problems. Also have 2 firewalls and reguarly run 2 spyware programs
