Yesterday I plugged my X-box into my modem direct, no PC etc

Firstly is that the correct way to do it?

As when I go to try and get on X-box live it says I have a fire wall issue or something not allowing it to conect correctly.

Please reply to me under the asumption I haven't a fuckin clue about PC/console literiture so will find it hard to understand any tech related speal!

plug xbox into router job jobbed. Sounds like an issue with router mate, check the settings

My XBox is just connected via an ethernet cable into the back of the VirginMedia modem.

How can I do that bud?

I have my PC in my modem and unplug it to put the X-box lead in.

This is the first time I have tried to use X-box online so it's a new issue.

Thats all I do. My modem only has one ethernet port so have to swap over cables each time. Cant use the internet on the PC at the same time as the XBox anyway.

Never had any problems with a firewall tho.

mate when it first came out we all got together and played burnout revenge fucking 5am finishes on that, problem was started work at 8am mrs used to go mental lol

I have forza 3 but not had full potential of it yet as I have still to get myself a bigger memory for it, as said not massively into this pc/console stuff so will have to pick one up.

Lost all my saved data from games previously completed to start with.

Playing that COD MW2 has gotten frustrating as every fucker on it seems to be amazing at it and just shoots fuck out of ya.

Forza seems just as anoiying as I have shit cars that don't seem to keep up with others no matter what car I pick lol

GRID seems fun but again have I got to complete the game off line again to get good cars?

mw2 is amazing mate but get on hardcore team deathmatch asap to get your levels up if your on tomorow nite i'll show you. Couldnt get with forza online tbh.

You'll soon get there once you get used to the maps, weapons and put the time in. Call of Duty series is quite an addictive game so you'll have no problem there.

Get earning some money in the single player or get a mate to give you a million credits or so. It does take time to get good and play with ALL assists off but the cars and tunning files play a big part. Learn some of the leaderboard cars for each class and go with them for a while.
