Default Clio V6

Thinking of buying one as my daily driver, after a phase2 in blue, anyone had one on here or know of anyone who's owned one?

Never driven a Phase 2. Drove a Phase 1 for a week, and it was utterly lethal!!!

As above, fuck driving one on a cold, icy January morning! Short wheelbase, rear engined, real wheel drive all in a car that is begging to be thrashed is just asking for trouble!

I don't think they're any quicker than a 172 round a track either are they?

Definitely no quicker on the road. A 172 can easily be pedalled quicker and safer than a V6... at least compared to a Phase 1, not driven a P2 to compare.

The V6 is an awesome 'occasion' car, but as a daily driver the complete absense of boot kinda rules it out for me.

Turning circle of an ocean liner, Ph1 cars were exceptionaly scary although I have heard Ph2 cars were improved. Loads of road presence but simply not that quick.

I can't actually think of a single plus point for a daily driver???

Although I'm a bit biased, you can get a good Focus ST now for sub 10k, chuck 1500 quid at it for cooler, filter, exhaust system and a remap, and you have a 300+bhp, totally reliable, fun car!

ST focus is a nice car but not for me! I was maybe thinking e46 m3 or maybe a evo of some sort! My everyday car would involve country lanes on the way to work and abit motorway driving!

Didn't the phase 2's have a tendency to catch fire?
