My back seats in my mk1 fiesta need re-trimming, and theres no seatbelts in the back, so would it be better to leave the seats out and maybe fit a cage like most people do? Or get seat belts from another car and re-trim the rear seat?
Are there any cars that have rear seats that will fit a mk1? Or shall i re-trim these ones ive got? And are most seatbelts the same? Cheers

depends on what you want/use the car for, ive had a few road cars now that have had no rear seats, carpets, caged etc. and its a pain in the arse! noisy, cold, nowhere to put stuff as your boot is then the entire car.
no problem in the rally car though.
no idea on the different seats though. personally i would just keep an eye out on here and ebay for some better condition standard seats.

If the car is in daily use then keep the interior, if it is occasional or track use, then strip it!

It will be my first car so will be used daily-ish
if it had carpets in the front? would it still be horrible to be in?

Yes. Noisy, cold and tinny. Plus the interior is probably doing a good job of hiding the rot

You wouldn't have anywhere to put anything. No boot for shopping, no back seats to chuck anything on. No chance of your mates bumming a lift somewhere.

the only interior in it at the moment is the dashboard the rot is being taken care of.
okay ill re-trim my seats if its not too expensive, what about the seat belts? the buckles are in it (bits inbetween the seats) but the actualy belts themselves arnt in it can i get just them parts out of newer cars or would i have to get the whole thing?
