Default oil temp gauge help

bassically ive got a collins oil temp gauge in my car that has never been wired up the wire is jst coiled up behind me battery anyway what do i need to wire it up and get it working ive got a sumplug with the extra thread on the bottom but dont know what i need to screw into it or anything else i need help please lol

As it's electric as opposed to capillary then just the correct temp sender in the sump plug, if you haven't got the correct one, then need to contact collins and buy one, as they are matched resistance wise to the gauge, then just add the live and earth to the gauge itself and you're away, oh and the back lighting wire.
If it were a capillary one it would need the coiled tube plumbing into the oil somewhere to get a temp reading.
