My new engine ran faultless all day and went well considereing i had to use low boost due to noise,but all in all i was well happy, pity i forgot to tighten my wheels nuts up properly Doh (what a twat) enyway no harm done still in good order and ready to go in and get the new box and drive shaft set up sorted over the winter so we can come out to play at the pod PROPERLY this time and have full power .

Relatively speaking we got off lightly with just a gearbox failure in helen's car as it was about to come out for a hydraulic conversion anyway, lol

I saw them pull in, rear wheels lock up, stop and run out to the front of the car, and take the bonnet off! Lots of smoke/steam coming from the engine bay and a little fire in the turbo area under the heatshield! Dingy blew it out Nice puddle of something left behind too, not sure what?

yeah his header tank split in the next to last session and pissed anti on the turbo which set it on fire nothin major though and will be fixed asap ,no engine issues etc ,the other grey 1 was dak one of our lot goes well for mfi and 5th inj steel rods and the usual.

Im sure i must have been next to you chip as you left, as im sure the saff was on a trailor heading for the m1 with escos behind at the services roundabout.

Problems, came into the esses and missed the corner, thought tires went off....came in slow to pits and could see somert on fire/steam through the hole in the bonnet.

So rushed out...

Very fine mist of antifreeze catching fire on a glowing red/white T4 LOL....

just shit it for a moment...

Header tank will be fixed or replaced this week so no stress.

Only engine issues is i think i fucked another tappet LOL time to finally fit my new cams

I was running approx 25psi held and had a gearbox selector issue which is why sometimes i was costing with the box stuck in 4th LOL

Old spec YB rev limit is at 8k

New Spec will be 8500-9000 rpm for the limit which every is best for the turbo really...

carl found a boost leak, plug problem and fitted the dizzy cap properly and fitted a new amal valve

its mint now

tim your car looked spot on mate all the nms boys were storming shame about daks wheel in the end putting a stop to his track abuse after the turbo change and all that.iv got a vid of you and oli coming down the straight ill have to dig it out.

As i mentioned in my thread yesterday, the NMS cars were flying, Ollie,s spin looked a good one too, when he toed it down the pit straight in the first session he was all over the place with all that torque...

Steve/ Tim, cars went and looked superb as always....
