Already thinking of getting rid of the Gartrac!!!!
Think i've lost the plot 
I've only had it 5 days and i can't get the hots for it!
I have only driven it 5 miles since getting home.
It makes me feel like a boy racer and i really don't like the look of Escorts
I thought the uniqueness of it and the performance would make me love it but i need to like the look of something and the performance it would seem!!
So here we go again back to the drawing board

Wait till you have some fun round a track, SURELY this will be amusing and make you decide to keep it..
I can totally understand what your saying tho.. OK, so its got a cossie engine, but its still a mk4 escort to some.
From going from having had loads of cossies ect to a bean tin I can appreciate being a little difficult... IMO, this is the ultimate car for Escort owners like me, but as a cossies owners view, I can see why your not entirely happy

mine was Q plated due to a body swap for a restoration...
swapped from a NONE written off, NONE stolen shell (but was slightly bent)
to a
NONE written off, NONE stolen shell.....but the shell number was stamped UNPROFESSIONALLY!!! (sunken digits in the floor, etc)
so Q plate it was then!!
even if we could prove the old shell was legit but hadn't been registered as a whole vehicle for 10 years.lost £600-700 of the
market value for a mint S1!!

Spadge... You've gone barking mad!!! My god man, no wonder you can't get the hots for it, you've not had the chance! 5 miles?? Go a nice long drive on some fun country roads, really give it some! Go find a Boxster to annoy, that always works for me!

looking thinking whats that old fart doing in an rst, think sierra cossies
are different as theres loads of old farts have em.
(especially Rod 
)sayin that though, its one of those cars you had to really buy for what it was,
it may still grow on you

Keith fook all of what you are saying has any relevance to my car mate
I'll say it again for those who have missed the point! ALL Gartrac's are Q plated just like Martin Labbatts's track cars would be if they were to be put on the road!!! This car has never been anything else other than a Gartrac since day 1 and has never been registered as anything other than a Q plate.

Spend a bit of time behind the wheel mate..it may be a bit of a grower.....i find i get bored with things i love straight away but am far happier with things i have taken time to learn how to appreciate.
