Fuel is always available for delivery. The pump will never run dry.

For coolant it is there to help remove air from the liquid to help make the system more efficient

I believe so, with usualy a breather pipe on the top which goes back to the header tank.

At least its like that on most cossies iv seen them on

Anybody know what size braided hose would be suitable, -6, -8, -10?

It's actually of more use when high boosting as the water can get super heated in small pockets which then release air into the system, but a constant bleed isn't a bad thing anyway, the turbo return serves the same purpose.

braided hose size out the tip you want -6 or -4 the big size ends are -20 lol
