Question spanner and socket help!

Hello,

So have i been looking for a spanner/socket conversion chart.

I have found sites as
http://www.baconsdozen.co.uk/tools/c...n%20charts.htm
http://www.csgnetwork.com/wrenchsizetable.html

But i just dont understand it, I know there is no real conversion but i want to get then as close to the mm as i can so then i can put them in order! What is 6/7 or 5/16 and sometimes without the / and a - instead, so 6-7.

Like i said i wanted a easy chart as i have worked out that 5/16 is 0.600 inch so its 15.24 mm. Thats alot of math on the spot when needed a socket!

As for the 6-7 i cant find on the chart anywhere! But i have a socket with that on and its kinda big (20mm ish)

Many Thanks Eigdoog!

Lets the rants begin

Sure you don't mean 7/8th, that size is around 22mm.

The easiest way is to set up an excel sheet and do it yourself.

The basic maths is easy.

Take the imperial size of 6/7 which means the socket is 6 sevenths of a inch. You dived 6 by seven which is: 0.857 and then multiply this by 25.4 (25.4mm makes one inch) which gives you 21.7mm

EASY

Come to think of it, it may have been 7/8.

I could do my own sheet but thats time :'( and thats money :P I will use math if i get ones im stuck on, Thanks!

Thanks
