steering rack

Hi everyone,
stupid question but thought i would ask it anyway
can you turn a 3.4 rack into a 2.4 rack and if so how would you do it

told you it was stupid

take 1 away from 3 and then you would have 2.

Only by using the old outer shell and fitting a new 2.4 rack and matching pinion.

As above dead easy, I converted roosie's rack on his 3 door to 2.2.
