Default what head bolts/gasket to use?

i've a 04 plate tdci transit connect that needs a bottom end rebuild what head gasket and head bolts should i use and should i change the timing chain at the same time?and finally does anyone know ford specs on what the head needs to be torqued to?

If the engine is out of the van, then I would do the timing belt and chain, as it will be much harder to do later once its installed.

I would get the bits from Ford.

I'll load up TIS and find out the torque setting for you.......

µ 44. Note:
The turbocharger oil return hose must be attached when the cylinder head is installed.

Install the cylinder head.

µ 45. CAUTION:
Install new cylinder head bolts.

Install the cylinder head bolts.

l Using the special tool, tighten the bolts in four stages in the sequence shown.

l Stage 1: Tighten the bolts 1 through 10 to 20 Nm.

l Stage 2: Tighten the bolts 1 through 10 to 54 Nm.

l Stage 3: Tighten the bolts 1 through 10 to 90 degrees.

l Stage 4: short bolts: 70 degrees, long bolts: 90 degrees.
