cheap insurance preffered, diesel would be great thiough i have heard of expensive repair bills with some!
gotaa be nice enough to spend 8-10 hours a week, auto would be bonus as i spend most of my time on the north circ in traffic

I have had mine for 3 years now and its been spot on.
Literally cheap as chips to run.
Ex-police cars are very well maintained. I have receipts for everything, even down tot he bulbs that were changed
Am thinking of selling it now tho as only work 10 mins away and would rather take the E36 sideways in the mornings to work

You ain't gonna get much kudos from a £1500 runabout either way. I wouldn't have recommended one until I had one as a courtesy car for a week once. For a car to use as a runabout, carfree and not worry where you park it or what happened to it, it was fantastic.

which is exactly what i use my ashtray for - awesome car and fairly modern and confortable.
handling isnt too bad either - not sure if thats down to any police mods as it has a tremendous amount of grip

Mondeo 1.8Td, you'll get a tidy Mk1 for £1500, My Uncle had one for about 3 years and loved it, just keep the oil topped up and they keep going and going.
Vectra 1.7Td, again £1500 will get you a tidy one, I would prefer the Mondeo though.
