Wat Temps are best suited for say 5-40 to 10-60.
Have a e36 m3 evo track car, oil temps are around the 125 to 130 mark, on hard use, after 3 laps. standard oil cooler, and using a miller 5-40. So weighing up the options on wat to do. Thanks 4 any advice.

Take ignition out?
you mean retard the timing and make the engine run hotter?
seems unlikely that will help![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
Contact Opie Oils for advice, they are normally really forthcoming, im not going to claim they are the worlds defintiive expert but they know more than me or any of the people you have been talking to I would wager.
Not sure if they are still traders on here or not, but if not just drop them an email.

115 deg max on these ,dont use Mocal on BMW Evo or E46 engines ,only Setrab Coolers cope with the pressures .
When we dyno'd one in the engine room with out even a std oil cooler it went crazy , we added the std cooler and it was only marginally better so these things are very sensitive to oil cooler size !

He was meaning if it was mapped, it need some ignition taking out, otherwise retarding it.
im wanting it to have a thermostat, Been told the tds oil cooler is 1 row bigger! and is a straight swap on, give it a good clean and a pressure wash, may be worth doin that first.
Thanks 4 the slicks mister touring car spares!
