Default Driveshaft experts or anybody wth engineering knowledge

right ive got a bit of a headache my car has got a focus rs gearbox but has no driveshafts when i got the car it came with 2 standard n/s shafs and a set of mondeo mtx shafts the 3 piece ones,

from what ive read ive got 3 options

a) buy custom shafts which works out exspensive

b) get the mtx shafts cnc'd messged the guy on here but he says he only does them for himself

c) cut the mtx shafts and the 2 n/s side shafts and get them sleaved

c is looking the most likely anybody have any tips on doing this?

was thinking if i cut the shafts leaving them a bit long and get a piece of L iron and keep cutting the shafts untill there are the right lenth and clamp them to the L iron so i have a dummy test shaft which is the right length then get a sleeve machined with a 10mm sholder in the middle then take 5mm off the end of each shaft to tidy up the cuts then press them int the leave and weld around the ends?

any advice would be great as the car is back from paint now and this is all thats holding me up

cheeRS

Crazycage I know you run a big power frst,
But what hubs do you use?
Have you stuck with the two piece bearing standard hubs?
I have a set of the later mk3.5 hubs and was going to make them fit.
Just wounderd what you use.

Sorry bit off topic I know

Cheers John

at the moment i still run the mk3 hubs but if i were to do it again i would use mk3.5 hubs as they have the same spline as the focus.
