20K+ Super Poster.
Just to put a cat among the pigeons what about mineral, I used COMMA 20W50 MINERAL oil for 50,000 miles in my cossie, which I took apart at 200,973 miles to find the crank 100% UNWORN, it went back together with the 200K mile old thrust bearings as they were the old sort, lead copper and not all steel, crank didn't really need it at all but had a polish for good measure, last mot at 200K were 0.97 % CO, 137ppm.
The shells were witnessed by opposite lock, I dug one out the bin in the garage to show him, totally ok.
The trouble is how people treat their oil imo never thrashing the car with a lot of them getting the oil really hot, enough to burn off contaminants, which do the damage.
I'd happily use Millers 10W60.
