yeah looks like we have to. wouldnt you think they would have made it a little bit easyer to take out than taking the hole body off. what a fuck on.

Yeah but it looks like will prob have to take the body off to do that aswell
1 of the turbos snapped its shaft and it was a nightmare to get that off then realised there was a bit of the turbo shaft missing so took the boost hoses off to find it (which we did) when we got coverd in about 4 litres of oil.
Thats when tried turning it by hand and found it locks so we took all 8 injectors out to see if this made any differance and see if any of them had any oil on them.
No oil on injectors and still wont turn so now we are taking the engine out
Glad im not paying for it.

Does that one not have a front subframe? cant see too clear in pics? .I just took the front subframe still connected to engine and box and dropped that out, didnt take whole body off.Could have been slightly earlier version.

Discovery 4's are a pain in the ass as you can't get in at anything, done egr valves other day and were a fook on, just done the heads on an overfinch range rover which was a ball ache. You'd think something this big you'd be able to get in and be loads of room.
I would never have a new disco or range rover after the past few weeks of working on them.
