I also looked recently at TME's as they were on my dream car list. However driving one and being in it was such a let down. These cars feel all of their 10-11 years of age now!
I bought an Evo8 in the end and it's MILES better.
People think that Jap is the future, modern etc. I believe the cossies have aged VERY well compared with how these cars will be in another 10 years.

the exact same happened when I got a S1 RS Turbo..... always wanted 1 then the dream became a nightmare...lol

ive driven both mate well 3 r33 gtsts. although they are a good car they just dont do it for me. the bottom end is a bit of a misconception as the gtr grips alot more and can be launched and cornered faster which in turn pulls the oil away from the pick up. put a gtst lump in a gtr and it would suffer the same problems on standard sump set up.
my engine in a gtst would be a complete waste as there wouldnt be any traction til 2nd or 3rd gear lol
monaro would be awesome
i thought the same until driving both and working on them as u see i have a gtr now which i honestly thought would do me for a road car as imo the gtst makes a better track car for me but the gtr is heavey feels unresponsive to my gtst so its a gona as soon as the lump is in and ill be in a manaro or a m5

cheers i thought so to when i first saw it and had to have it, got it for Ł4k too.
it was 516 bhp but had a slight bottom end grumble which turned out to be completeley fucked crank and rods, still had quite abit of oil pressure but that was down to the Ł750 jun oil pump they found in there
all i can say is ive had 5 cosworths prior to this, ive had the gtr over a year now and i have absolutely no regrets

i do beg to differ Tim (moff)Nicholas runs his gtst with a rb26 in time attack with 630 bhp and regulary beats gtrs in his class and some times of the pro class binliners !! on a track a lot ot is how well you drive ! but even on the road it isnt a arsehole to drive ! but unfortunately thats eaten its cams and he resorted back to a gtst that rfuses to die

ah boy's its horses for coarses lol i love rwd its lighter christ i could go on all night Karl as you see mine has accusump on it just because i run it on slicks i have helped develop the suspension with gaz and believe me it turns in and handles amazing as most are on jap coilovers which are either over sprung or under damped !! i think this gtr thing is me because even the looks dont do nothing for me and the old touring car actually mechanicly bares no resemblance to its road brother so i cant even get off on the fact its a well proven race car am i a wrong un on all levels ?
aye my teins are ridiculous fucking hard, spine breakers handles awesome but proper uncomfortable on shit roads
do gaz do a good road / track set up for a 32 gtr ?

I'm only going by Market forces but I think realistically if I can get near 6 I'll be doing well.
After all,the skylines seem a fair bit cheaper so I'll still have a bit left to get it the way I'd like it.
Not being funny but fordsportjay on here had a standard one up for 8.5-9k a few weeks back and I was proper slated for daring to question the price,it looked clean but the arches were on their way a bit, original motor at 110k?now that's too pricey IMHO!!

Just stating how I see it.personally I think it's a bit strong but I've seen a few on here that i wouldn't piss on going for 5k,practically breakers.pistonheads,eBay etc a half tidy one is 6k minimum.mine is rare with the aircon,ebony,leather etc.nice plate " SHE",fully painted,be about 270horse,plenty of history,it's a very nice car,had a rebuild as well,so plenty of life left.

If i cant get anywhere near what I want then I`ll just keep the cos for a bit.
I went on the skyline website t`other day and saw your gtr on there for sale along with the other one in this thread from up Newcastle way, some nice examples on there for various pricing. I think my 5k budget could get me something nice.

got the gtr done this weekend so she will be up in the adds tomorrow as i gave it one more chance and it aint no where near as quick as my gtst and i just dont like it , theres nothing wrong with it i just prefer the gtst and i never want to change a rb26 ever again in my life

just finding my feet
its different preference i get that, i HATE the look of my scooby, just pikey and wanky and at 31 years old im starting to think i look like a poor man going through a midlife crisis
BUT fuck me i LOVE the way my car drives so much so that i cant justify paying over 10k for a evo when this does all i need it too,,,,,,
ps: could you carbon wrap a front splitter for me,,,,,,,, oh and roof if your brave pmsl seriously though a front splitter in carbon i need but not made
