What's the best oil recommended for a cosworth YB running 330 to 380 bhp? I've always used mobil1 motor sport 15w 50 but it offers poor cold start protection and it's oil change time so what's recommended surely a 0w 50? For good cold and hot protection.
Who does a decent oil to the required spec, thankyou

The oil is fine, it doesn't really get that cold in this country oil wise, I'd be happy using it.
You can if you wish change to a 5W60 like millers fully synthetic, or a 5W50 think pro s is a 5W50 ?

I'm happy to stay 50, I don't really need 60 with my oil cooler but a 5w for winter might be a good idea. Untill then ive just topped up on 15w mobile again. Thanks Tabetha

15/50 Silkolene is the way forward IMHO.

Found Silkolene Pro S 10w50 good all year round, I use to use Mobil 1 15w50 but changed to Pro S. No complaints with it.

Second that ^^ I was using 15/50 then changed to 10-50 as good quality fully synthetic, it's still a 50 weight when hot but it will have less drag on the engine when cold.
