Insurance company's taking the p*ss
Me and the Mrs have 2 cars, a KA that i use as a work hack because i get caked in shit/grease/dirt etc and a 99 Megane coupe that the other half uses. We pay less than 300 quid for each car fully comp.
The other day her brother ask's if we fancy swapping the Megane for his Puma as his Mrs likes the megane and my Mrs likes the Puma, so we say yes but want to check wi insurance first. I give our insurance company a ring and they tell me the want and extra £186 plus a £25 admin charge to swap it over and there is only 6 months left on the policy, so i told them very politly to fuck off.
I then went on all the comparrison websites and the cheapest quote i can get is over £600 FC or £550 TPFT. I'm 27 what the fuck is going on? I only paid just over £700 when i was 23/24 to insure my Impreza Turbo. Insurance companys are taking the piss. I then found some bits online saying that premiums had jumped up 31% in August.
Any one else getting raped with insurance quotes at the min?

I heard Insurance has gone up because last year with all the weather we had there was lots of claims
Also theres a lot of insurance scamming going on due to the downturn, lasy year my transit was £200 fully comp, they wanted nearly double that this year,i ended up taking out a traders policy
