just have to say a big thankyou post to mark ,
as some of you may know mark is supplying me with my wrc style rear end setup for my series 1 cossie amongst other cool parts ,
well with a load of questions brimming around in my head and after speaking to mark on the fone he invited me down to his place to not only answer all them questions but to give me a chance to check out his setup
all i can say is wow !! i was like a fucking kid in a sweet shop , custom billet yb parts , trick cnc machines , his trick framed ducati corsa engined streetfighter , that must upset everyone in a 5 mile radius !!
but it was when he started showing me is new custom parts hes designing like his own billet water pumps , billet roller barrel throttle bodies ( insert sex wee here ) and his new design all alloy yb engine block
i do think hes going to be moving yb tuning up a notch with his new block , wet linerd , 4 bolt mains , build to the same specs as us style alloy drag blocks
so to mark i say thanks mate , learnt more in a cpl hurs than i have in months lol , i need to find another job to buy all the bits i want lol
i cant wait till your new units up n running !!!!
ohh and the trick framed gixxer turbo that will run on cosworth management - dizzy n all lol is just nuts !!!!!
ill look forward to poping bk in a cpl weeks to collect my cradle !!

I might be able to find you your first customer. A mate of mine is having one made by GIA but is haveing to wait six months for a slot. He has always gone on about how much he would have liked a MARTEK....
Is that WP based bike the one Guy Martin now has??

thanks mark
Can you PM me prices on the nearly ready to go. I'll pass them onto my mate.
More pics please!!!
Where did you get the extrusion for the duke frame spars? What grade ally is it? Did you just make a form and bend the spars in a press?
Making my first swinger at the moment. One day i hope to build my own frame. I'm using 6082 as i cant afford the min quantities of 7020 you have to buy. That stuff is hard to get hold of! I've found the 6082 bends ok if you warm it first. Unfortunatly doesn't have the self hardening properties of the 7020 so i might end up building an oven to bake it in.

Apart from the awesome bikes. I'm looking in the back ground and getting some serious machine shop envy.
This is my little set up when i first moved in. It gets me by and i'm only really just learning what you can do with a mill. I'd love something that didn't need windy handles one day.

Is it 5083 that you are on about in sheet form? I once spoke to the guy who used to make all the Kenny Roberts gp chassis' and that's what he used. Only problem is 5083 work hardens over time so might be ok for a season of racing but not sure how good it would be on a road bike.
I think you might be right on on having to machine/ream bearing housings after fabrication.
I thought that dram looked like the spondon on. Those rotaries were awesome bikes.
Do you manage to make all the billet bits from 7020 too? It just seems so hard to get hold of.
How did you go from fabricating bike frames to all this cnc machining? Amazing stuff though and hopefully Mk motorsport will be a success for you.
