Just got back too, who the fuck was driving that red ZVH escort estate? That thing had some serious power!! Some very nice cars out, Reyland ecos's looking spot on and very well prepared. Some big power evo's too so all in all a pleasant day out, shame about the fog though, got really bad at times..

very fast and reliable for a cvh as it must be running some serious boost to go like that , and a still love the standard pea shooter exhaust out the back to make it look standard , but it did have some good flames out the side exit exhaust lol

cheers paul

Just got home. Shame the day was a wash out due to the fog. Was a nightmare on track. Zero grip, and no visibility. We had to run with fog lights on during a couple sessions

I managed all of 30 miles max on track, due to closures and red flags.

I wonder if we'll get a partial credit / refund for the lost track time due to the weather? More than half the day missed due to the pea soup

Red Escort went very well, good power for a 1.8 CVH turbo (300 bhp)

Found it Very slippy on track, found it tricky bringing on the power out of corners (Rwd ). Managed to get 4 x 15-20 min sessions. Never had to have my headlamps on when on track before.
Would be nice if Javelin gave a discount for your next booking due to the lack of track time today, maybe need to suggest this to them

Good to see lots of friends and some new faces

Yes would be nice just to have a discount on the next day due to it. If they had cancelled it yesterday we would of had a full refund??

Result! Refund or credit of 50% of the costs

You should all have an email looking like the following, make sure you hit the link and fill out the form to claim.

Si

Hi

You will no doubt recall the rather foggy day at Donington Park on the 29th December 2010. The weather conditions making a difficult day for all concerned.

Unfortunately that was Javelin Trackdays first event promoted at Donington Park and it was not the standard of event or service that Javelin has become known for over the last 10 years.

Although at that stage we could not make a formal announcement. We were determined, even on the day, that as a company we would not wish to benefit from such an event. Before we could really make any comment we needed to review the day’s events with Donington Park’s Management. Given the holiday period this was not possible until 4th January at the earliest.

On the 12th January we finally reached an agreement with Donington which means we are now in a position to offer a 50% Credit or Refund of Event Entry Fees paid. The news arrived just before we left for 4 days at the Autosport Show so I apologise for the further delay in notification.

Any options (additional drivers, passengers and instruction etc) that were booked for the day will be carried forward to any future Javelin event.

We would especially like to thank those who showed patience and understanding on the day and afterwards whilst negotiations were ongoing.

To claim your 50% Credit or Refund please use the form by CLICKING on the link below.

29th December 2010 – Options Form.

Kind Regards

Colin Jebson
