Hand shaking and first impressions........
Lately met loads of people at work who shake my hand and they do it with a limp as shit hand, in turn leaves me with a bad first impression lol
I just think if you can't be fuickin arsed to shake my hand why bother?
Pisses me off lol
When I meat a man or woman if they give a strong hand shake I seem to think differently of um
Just me?
Just to add if they stop my blood circulating my hand I also think theyre a cunt

not just you, i'm the same mate.
good strong hand shake gives a good impression. whenever i go and see a car i say high and shake the owners hand first. most of the time you can tell just from that if the advert is honest imho.

Hate the limp ones but sweaty ones just means homo if you ask me. Man got issues if hes got sweaty palms! Always go in with the VLG (vice like grip) and take it from there.

Heres a question then, do you make eye contact when you shake hands? I never used to but when i was traveling a couple of years ago i made a few very good German friends and they told me if you dont make eye contact when shaking someones hand in germany its really bad manners.
So ever since then i do but not many others "look back" lol if you know what i mean.
but yes on the firm hanshake. but if someone nearly rips my arm off i think their a c**t too theres a difference between confident and cuntish.

I agree that a good firm handshake is important, as is eye contact when you shake the guys hand, shows honesty and integrity imo.
However.... I cannot be fucked with the up themselves cunts that try and crush you're knuckles the first time you shake their hand... as if they do it to try and show some power and get respect, fuck them, i instantly think they are a cunt if it is a ridiculously tight grip, no need.
Firm wrist and solid grip is perfect, veins popping out of forehead whilst trying to squeeze my hand as tight as possible - please get out of my life you prick.
In my last job as a travelling sales rep i met wanks like the above everyday, trying to show me they were more powerful than me. Jeeeeees.

I agree with that being able to look at someone in the eye and talk means to me you are not hiding anything.

Always had a rule I stick to. If the handshake is limp, the person is a slimy cunt who I won't deal with again. Seems to have worked for me over the years

my grandad always used to say, 'you can learn a lot about a man by his handshake', how the fcuk, i dont know, but he was always under the impression you could, and it has always made me think that a strong handshake, is a good sign. i always make an effort to give a 'firm' handshake aswel.

A firm handshake is one thing, but as said, the people that try to break you knuckles piss me off more than a limp wristed sweaty palm shaker lol!!
A mate of mine does it, you can see him actually strain he is trying that hard. I can't see how they would think you will see them as more of a man by them squeezing your hand like they are holding back a man bullet!!

then ima bit weird, if someones got a limp one on ill tell em, 'come on do it propperly' and shit like that when im in a an old womans bedroom lately (fitting aerials (and i have an assistant atm)) i say been a long time since you had 2 strange men in here eh!? they do lap it up mind, just gotta be personable (real word?) if i ever meeet them again they always remember me i only remember the fun customers

It does create a poor first impression but interestingly enough, or not, you usually find that people who rely on their hands to perform delicate tasks in their profession i.e surgeons, dentists etc usually have a 'limp' shake.

Little fella I know loosely who also has a big chip on his shoulder insists on giving everyone a bone crushing handshake, like he's trying to make a point and thinks it asserts his authority.
