What the hell are Tags, i keep reading about tags in threads, what the hell are they, fuck i must be stupid but i have no idea

lol look just above the "quick reply" box, theres a long narrow box saying TAGS, people write things in there but i think you have to be a gold member to add one? supposed to make searching the site easier if anyone uses the keyword
