Capri Question
#2
I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
between a 1.3 mk1 and a 2.8i with a twin turbo conversion, yes, a big difference, that pic is a JPS limited edition, a 2.8i special is the one to have or the last of them the 280, but if insurance is a problem a 2.0 or 1.6 is ok but not that fast, the 2.0 or 1.6 could be uprated easy to a 2.0 cosworth and the 2.8i can be upgraded to 2.9 24v.

as the lads have pointed out ,the performance between the 2 litre pictured and another 2 litre was the same nothing special at all ,just cosmetically they did the JPS version with unique trimming and alloys from the days of james hunt cashing in on his image etc but never liked the mk1 facelift tbh in any design, best handling capri (if there was such a thing) was the mk3 2.8i special with LSD or the brooklands, best looking however was the aston martin tickford version as far as I remember had a massive choice of colours red or white
just like the mk6 escort Si and the Gti exactly the same car apart from plastic and leather

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
If your just refering to the JPS Special that you have in the above pic, then the answer is no, as the 1.6, 2.0 and 3.0 JPS variants were purely based on the 'S' models but with different trim.
