Default Transit help please!!!

My motorhome runs the transit 2.4tdci engine, its only done 15000 miles but the turbo is not working, its intermitent, can be fine, so i know the turbo is fine, no smoke, but when its not working it sounds really noisy like a tractor!!! Any ideas what it could be? Checked all pipes and all seems ok?

Cheers.

i think all the later transits are electrionicly controlled.

but being as yours is vacuum i'm guessing it's a 115 or 125ps model?

it's possible the wastegate is siezed, egr valves are common as are split boost pipes.

quite often theres a solenoid valve located at the other end of the actuator vacuum pipe, if this is faulty or there is a leak in these vacuum lines, it will cause a similar problem.
