just to let you all know that simon kept his word that he would do my car today.that consisits of fitting a 5bar map sensor & 1000cc injectors and also put a base map into a s8 ecu well done simon thanks for doing the work.

It was nice mapping a car with decent injectors and turbo for a change !!!

For those who are interested.........

I should add, this was the new EEC4 plug and play version of the S8.
Only electrical changes to the car are 5 bar map sensor, injectors and MAF
sensor removed.
This includes a new version of software of the S8 that has an AUTO TUNING closed
loop fuelling feature from a wide band sensor. (Bosch 5 wire LSU sensor)

Sounds pukka!

I guess you insert AFR targets in a fuel table and the Wideband just dials in the correct injector duration to achieve it when it reaches that load/speed site and then saves it to the map?

Should make home tuning very easy!

Of course you have got to know what AFR targets you want in the first place so I shouldn't imagine Stu or Karl will loose any business, just make it easier for those that will go DIY anyway.

When will this new version of software be on general relese?

very cool mate,,, im sure the people who change over eec4 esccos too large turbo spec will be out of work soon

No, am at my house in cardiff playing with my new anodising setup

Cars fine, got the day off on tuesday so I will finish off the back brakes (reconning the drums, new wheel cylinders etc, and fitting braided lines).....so gotta do that tuesday, get a lambda boss put in downpipe and then get her mapped
