16GB should be more than enough for anyone. I have a 32GB and can safely say I will never use even half of that!

my 8gb isnt even slightly half full and i have loads of apps, i could even put on 3gb of music and i wouldnt be no were near full

I have 16gb and use about 15.8gb.

Mostly music, 2 films on it too. Apps take up a tiny % of that tbh. Use it as an ipod quite alot at the gym and if im around the house away from my comp so whapped a load of tunes on there.

My old 3G had 8Gb and it just was not enough but now i have a 4G with 32Gb and i am using only 3.7Gb of music 5.07Gb of video 864mb of photos and 1.16Gb of apps and still have 17.88Gb left.

i could even load all my music on here (10.26Gb, 5.2 days worth) and have room.

The jailbreaking i dont think is a good idea as they always are bring in update to block them phones unless you never update yours. Plus if it breaks and you take it back they wont repair it. Its up to you though thats just in my opinion

I think there are ways to remove the jailbreak though, then you can update and also take it for repairs etc

Maybe i dont know, If you could then it is probably worth doing. My girlfriend works in 02 and wont let me do anything like this...

Correct. You restore the phone before updating. Personally I would only jailbreak for TomTom

I have a 3gs 32gb Ive got nowhere near a 1/4 full yet and probably never will.

I find i just change my music or anything i have on it so i dont really need 32gb at all.
My apps take up more of my memory than anything else on my phone atm, but i do have a lot of them.

unless you want a ton of music or videos, 16Gb will be enough for most people
