Default transit connect engine swap

basicly just bought a 04 plate transit connect 1.8 Duratorq TDCI (90PS) which requires a new engine or shells bearings ect.
i've been told that either a focus or mondeo use the same engine and will fit straight in does anyone know which is correct?
thanks.

as long as its got the right pump on it
just check your engine code and get same 1,
you'll need to use the pump off your old engine as they're coded to the ecu
