You pay peanuts and thats what you get, Its bad but not uncommon.

Lets hope they never worked on the gas

In Bournemouth last week, I found a 22mm gas main off the top of a meter,
that had been in place since 1986 that had never been soldered !!
only the hardened flux was stopping it from leaking

Don't bother with German builders either. Had one round the other day to fix the shower. He only ended up hooking up the gas to the shower. I guess old habbits die hard.

Dont really think you can say its down to where there from at my last firm there was two sparkys working together who were polish earning 2k a week on price and there work was spot on...
