Absolutely loved my E39 530d Sport when I had it - Superb car - Did well over 30k in her and she never missed a beat
Was absolutely superb cruising on the autobahn at 130 with the cruise control on and aircon on low when going to the 'Ring in her
A few snaps of her not long after I fitted a set of 18" Paras

made a start by sorting the headlights out with brand new genuine BMW lenses
before
After (and £470 worse off)
will change the wheels next just to try and loose the old man look and them look out for some sport bumpers..........................

Yeah mate I can tell ya I'm not happy about it ordered them and went to pick them up and that was when I found out the price
I know I tried asking on a bmw forum but couldnt get an answer as my car has factory xenons and didnt want to loose them by fitting the angel eyes but have now found out you can make it all fit

Ive been looking at a 530d sport, Its done 136000 miles though. Are the auto gearbox's the same in these as in the 330d as i read somewhere that they fail in the 330d at around 100000 miles. Should it be a concern? Also the one i have been looking at the guy says it is a little lumpy on start up could this be a leaking injector as it sounds similar to something that happened to my dads 525d? If so would it be an expensive job to have them cleaned or do they normally need replacing then i know they are a fortune.
Are there any other likely possibilitys if its not a leaking injector?
Thanks for any help.

As above, shame you got stung for those lights... but its done now and to be honest, its looking far better than it did although I'd hang out for complete replacement Sport Bumpers rather than a splitter which can make one of these cars look a bit council IMO.

Looks good mate, there was a retro cars feature that ran across 5ish issues. (think it was retro car), any way the bloke said the best upgrade he made was with a blistein sport damper kit and new bushes. Check out your arb bushes as the e39 eats them on a regular basis.
What sort of economy are you getting?
