Default Car breakdown cover

Who do you use? Any good deals out there? I don't anything fancy like european cover or track recovery just good ol' simple UK recovery. Best i can find is RAC @ £28.

Watch out for some of the cheeper cover as most will
only have local recovery, fine if you dont go far and they cant fix car.
If your a long way from home it will cost over £1 per mile both ways so check cover
and small print. I have done breakdown work for all the companies and my recommendation would be britania.

That'll be £28 just for road side assistance though mate, not uk recovery where they pick you up and drop you and your car back at your door, I'm with green flag as my car is a 98 and was finding hard with an older cars to get covered, but the service was faultless they picked me up within half an hour and then took me from Epping back to Birmingham without an issue

Sign up to quidco and get cashback when you join. It'd make your £28 basic cover about £7 or something.

I'm with AA, same sort of price as RAC for same cover, but had issues with RAC, and car damage, the RAC guys were ace just the contractor they used was crap.
