The pinto on which the cosworth was built on weighs 130kg.
At a guess the engine may weight less due to the fact the head is alloy - therefore 120 - 125 kg i recon.

Thanks

The orginal heads were very heavy, the cosworth head will weight very similar or slightly more than the origninal.
15 kg more is far to much, that is my opion anyway, i have had more experience with the pinto than cossie though.

Not to mention the extra cam + the sumps twice as heavy, and most of the bottom end is heaver than standard pinto.

The alloy sump weighs twice as much as the pressed steel pinto item???
Crank is heavier, head is heavier, exhaust manifold heavier than pinto, but pintos don't really weigh in at 130 do they? I had them down as closer to 110, as I know I can't lift 130!!!

The standard pinto sump is just pressed 18 gauge steel, the cozzy one is cast ally- 3 to 4 mm thick in places

Just for comparison the all alloy k series engine is just under 100kg (95 or 97)

The cast iron pinto will be much heavier thank this.
