bayside blue only has 1 colour code which is tv2, so there is only one shade

the pictures your are seeing is proberbly in different lights due to the pearl that is in the paint and it needs to be painted correctly to get the correct finish aswell

yes there is one shade listed tv2 but it depends how dark you put the base coat on and top coat to what shade you get,on my old 34gtr i had an annoying scratch on the wing but everyone wanted to paint the side to get the match, but then they said you will see different shade to bonnet and rear boot so i lefte it,tri colours are pain in the ass

yes and I think depends on how much thinners you add and air pressure. i dont think its worth it for an everyday car, as if like you say have a scratch youre a bit fooked lol

Not being funny but why not go Ford matisse blue? its quite similar from what i can see on the pictures, but its only a single stage metallic. I'm struggling to find a picture of mine in direct sunlight, but it really makes the colour pop. i painted the wing mirrors myself too with halfords rattle cans and lacquer. The colour match is perfect. Obviously it lacks the "shine" the pearl gives it but you get what you pay for...

Bayside.

Matisse.

Totally incomparable to Bayside Blue though. You see Bayside Blue in the sunlight, in the flesh and you see why it's worth the extra ŁŁŁ and why it's a more complex colour to paint.

Matisse is like that though, i cant get it across in the pictures, but the paint glows. especially with a carnuba wax on, with its yellowish tint.

and i did say you get what you pay for.

but matisse is just single metallic

bayside blue uses a blue metallic, with a blue and purple pearl on top then laquer

if you use a dark base coat (black), this will bring the effect out so much more aswell, bayside blue has to be the best blue ever i think

what id be inclined to do is just use a single metallic, maybe trophy blue on the mg
