Thought id stick a few questions up for anyone whos bored, i know chip likes stuff like this so it can give you a bit brain workout
Ill start with a nice easy one first
A hiker walks from one town to another. On the first day she covers one quarter of the total distance.
The next day she covers one quarter of what is left.
The following day she covers two fifths of the remainder and on the fourth day half of the remaining distance.
She now has 15 miles left. How many miles has she travelled?

You are all wrong!
The total distance is 88.8 recurring miles
The distance travelled is 73.8 recurring miles
rounded up to one DP 88.9 miles total distance
and 73.9 miles travelled.
assuming she walked in a perfect arc of radius 3963.5 miles
