prob about Ł600 - Ł700 max. hard to say really. it didnt have any bumpers or windscreen and there was dents to the floor behind the seat mounts which wud require knocking out as well and the roll cage wasnt finished by the bulkhead. but i spect that roll cage cost a bit so i dunno really!

I would value a 3 dr rolling mk3 escort shell that needs NO welding or paintwork at no more than Ł800. Obviously a lot more if a genuine RS16i or S1 shell

how much for a respray?
weld in cage?
no welding required shell?

i think a custom cages weld in cage is about the 400 mark before you pay for labour to fit

Easy A grand. A proper Paint job costs more than that, so you'd get the cage and mint shell thrown in for free!

That's worth a grand, I would say, due to the cage, S1 kit and no wanky sunroof

I took a mint shell (75k miles & FSH), seam welded it, fitted a bolt in cage, turreted the front strut tops, chopped the arches back and fitted an S1 bodykit, had my mate prep it in my garage then took it somewhere for the paint inside and out.
If i could have done that for a grand i would have been a very happy bunny

its gettin it on there in the first place thats the trouble. its about 150 miles from me. but gettin it off aint gonna be easy either cos my garage is at the top of the driveway on a hill. i was thinkin i might have to make a frame up to wheel it on and off

easy enough to make a dolly with some wood and some wheels you can bolt onto the wood,

then use some ratchet straps to secure the shell to the dolly
