Default Twin caliper brake set up..........?????????

could this work??

Instead of having one fook off caliper, could you have 2 mounted oposite each other or something?? sure someone like brom could fabricate the mounts no worries.

I cant see why not.....

I was just looking for a photo, but you saved me a job! All of the Maybachs have them.

Here is the setup anyway:

interesting

how much difference does having fook off discs make then??
say you had 300mm discs with a twin cossie 4 pot set up for example. would the discs not cope

is it me or has that maybach got 21's on

Bigger disc = bigger pads, which can aid brake cooling.

You may struggle shifting enough brake fluid, as the master cylinder would have to fill 6 calipers instead of the normal 4

So you may have to change the master cylinder too

Also some car makers mount the brake caliper at the front of the disc and some at the rear, why is that, does it impove breaking?

Which is best?

Dom,
You really are a spaz . Firstly, Cossie 4-pots wouldn't fit behind your wheels, so you would have to buy a set of MOs anyway .

Secondly, good luck in getting it to work adequately .

Thirdly, the extra unsprung weight of two cast-iron Cossie 4-pots per side would be detrimental to the handling .

Fourthly, just do it fucking properly you gimp . I bet it would be cheaper .

Gus,
Yeah it didn't work, as he outbraked himself going into "Russell" at Snetterton (I was there) and ripped off his genuine RS500 splitter at the time. Apparantly the pedal went to the floor - so that worked well then .
