Default Quick gearbox oil question!

Will this be ok?...
http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-832-silk...-gear-oil.aspx

Or will I be better off with this one?....
http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-850-silk...-gear-oil.aspx

They are both 75w so should both get round the same from cold, I think it's just that the first one is a full Ester based oil and the second one isnt.

For my IB5 box, currently putting 230ftlb throught it but will be increasing to nearer 280ftlb fairly soon

Cheers!

i was told 75w -90 semi synthetic for mine. its an escort ib5, front starter brand new crate at the time. i was told i could put thicker stuff in but it would be "sticky" when cold.

Cheers but thats all irrelevant when your running way above normal power/torque.
For example Ford recommends 10w/40 semi for my engine, but at 27psi of boost the turbo would turn that oil water! lol

Surely a fully synth ester based oil is going to protect better than a semi of the same viscosity though?
