now that is more like it!!! with the standard wheel base and a cossie engine inside it so it gets to keep it looks and moves!

One was RWD and the other 4WD. Both were magazine featured cars.
The RWD one was most fun, 2.8 Cologne V6 (approx 160 BHP), more-or-less a 2.8 Capri but with well sorted suspension in an Mk4/5 Escort bodyshell, with alliminium Gartrac wings.
The 4WD Gartrac had an engine by Turbo Technics, with a single Garrett turbo, again 2.8 Cologne genuine 240 BHP + very good torque. Built with XR4x4/Saph drive train/suspension/brakes......This car was ahead of it's time, as it was built for me in 1989/90 (from a brand new Mk4 RST shell, Gartrac kevlar wings, bonded on).........this was a couple of years before the Escort Cossie was launched by Ford.
The Gartrac shelled Rallycross cars of Martin Schance (spl) and John Welch with X-trac drive trains dominated the sport for at least 3 years.....

Why not convert the one you have after a while, may keep your interest a bit longer. Plus your bound to have a fair few cossie bits lying about to turbo it.

these beasts are awsome
there was a lad over in brum who had a red s2 cossie like that except it was 4wd
such a missle and that was only stage 3 would hate to see what this goes like
should have a number plate called scud 1 or sumthing
good look with the bidding spadge i know u will get it
wish i finished my cab mk4 cossie shell now only had back floor to finish

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
That's probably the best conversion of this type I have ever seen, as a lot of them never look right, with the wheels sticking proud of the body kit....That looks like a RST in every way, except when you pop the bonnet!! lol
Very very very nice car, and whoever gets that is very jammy!!!
oh and a 12 odd second run at the pod isn't shy either!!
