i think any of the top 6 would want him, Harry wanted him at Spurs but he wanted too much money. 90k a week with the europa league and a top 7 finish again must of been a hell of a selling point.

i have no doubt the money was the main selling point, ancheloti said he didnt want him to leave chelsea, but they were not willing to pay him what he wanted, neither were arsenal or spurs. but when you take into account a team like liverpool, who dont have a lot of money to spend, need a player like cole, and can get him on a free, you dont mind paying him big wages, especially as he would be in the £12M - £15M price bracket if he was being sold under contract. its a win win situation for liverpool, need him, get him for free, hence why we offered him the money he wanted.

He has had injury problems over the last couple of years, and found it hard to get back to his best because he was in and out of the chelsea team. i guarantee, if he stays injury free at liverpool, he will be in the team, and if/when he gets back to top form, he will turn out to be one the transfers of the summer.
