Default Some people!!

My clerk really wound me up today

For months has been bringing into work his wet washing to dry (he switches on the radiators) so downstairs we have his whol families washing, underwear and everything. Other people in the building
Laugh it off but it really winds me up, especially when we have some important people visit our building as well as the general public.

I have since discovered other little things such as charging his rechargeable batteries, charging his phone, showers in the office shower so he doesn’t have to pay for the water at home, takes compost from the office wormery etc but what I found out today is just plain stupid!!

He brings in empty water bottles and fills them up and then cycles them home again so he can water his plants. He told me he did it because our building isn’t on a water meter and his home is!!!

He is a very clever man and could do a lot more than being a clerk to me but chooses not too. His wife currently works for four hours a week at the library and chooses to home educate their children. So money is obviously tight but through their own choosing.

I just couldn’t get over the water thing, it just really shocked me. Anyone else know anyone like this?

I had better start to monitor the number of toilet rolls in the cupboard. lol

If there is any food left over from a lunch meeting we normally send an email out for people to come and help themselves, he empties his lunchbox and fills it full for his tea!!

Bless him!

Probably just trying to save himself some pennies and it wouldn't have even occurred to him that he could possibly be winding anybody up in the process.

He is probably the nicest guy in the world but just abit quirky!

Leave the poor guy alone you evil cow!

Was one of the first pieces of advice I recieved as an apprentice.

Shortly followed by "but it's better to go when on overtime cos then you get paid more for it"

Fair enough I say! I wash my car at work, if I am dying for a shit in the morning I wait until I get to work (may as well do it and get paid for it) and just general pilfering of cleaning products etc.

The good old saying is, if you can't beat them, join them! Do the same yourself! Put the pennies in a pot that you have saved and at the end of the year, I bet you will be surprised!

My mum is even worse, if she goes to a resturant, she fills her handbag with sauce sachets on the way out, and when she goes to the supermarket she will help herself to a handbag full of plastic bags that you use to put your loose fruit and veg in

Theres being thrifty and theres being an arrogant tight bastard bringing in wet washing to dry in a public or business is crossing the line imho and good arguement for theft of company resources.

Not on...... if this was my business it would be instant dismissal.

A place where clients and customers are with someones washing on the radiators.

No way.
