YB 2wd Cams
General advice if possible.
What cams do people recommend to run 450/500 bhp.
Rest of the engine and head would be sorted, ported head, double springs, inlet, turbo etc.
I am not looking for cams that "trip over" themselves either, no point in blowing the boost out the exhaust before it’s done the job.
Thanks
James

I have just had a AB07 (inlet) cam fitted to mine and gained 35bhp with the same boost. Was 399.8bhp now 434.5bhp.
Drives just as nice as the standard cam and ticks over perfect.
Was Rolling Roaded on the same rollers before and after. Dyno Dynamics Rollers.

Depends on cr size of ports and turbo your running???
These days i like very close to std cr valve cut outs 25mm ports std ex cam 10 mm lift 280 duration inlet cam siemens injectors and a gt3071 turbo..
awesome set up for fast road and track car and will achieve your goals..

Its all about the lift and duration on the inlet and no need for a bigger exhaust untill after 500 hp...

All it means is the lower the cr the longer you wait for positive boost but a good mapper can get around that to a certain degree...
