Is he a member on this forum ?

basically he is selling header tanks on ebay for series 2 escorts, now i ordered one and because there are 2 different types of header i have to tell him what year my car was (89) because i didn't have my header at hand i had to rely on him to send me the right header, Ive received my header and now it turns out its the wrong one,

he wont reply to my emails and i cant run my car until i have the right one. i cant see the problem in changing the header for my i offered to pay for postage and i just want to get the right header.

i tried to contact him once over some parts i payed for and not recieved i emailed him 10 times with no reply , opened a dispute with paypal and guess what he replied in a couple of hours with the usual i have replied check your spam bollocks and told me the parts where on backorder even ho it clearly stated they were in stock and could i remove the dispute as he cant trade whilst its open, i said ill remove the dispute when i get my parts and funnily enough they arrived two days later!

other than not being able to contact him not had any other problems with him tho and have bought a few bits and bobs

ones deeper than the other,88 spec and 90 spec cars have different inner wings so the header is deeper to compensate

They did and are. 88 Spec tanks are longer, flat bottomed and have a shallower angle. 90 spec tanks are shorter, and have a curved bottom so they fit flush with the revised inner wing shape.

As above. 90 spec header tanks are physically bigger. If you fit the pre 90 spec tank on a 90 spec car it will sit low and the level will read wrong. Conversely, the 90 spec tank won't physically fit on a pre 90 spec car, it will be too tall.

the mk5 mk6 rs2000 header tanks alex is selling on ebay are not correct either.the one's he is selling are for a zetec engine, the i4 engined rs2000 header tank is unique to the car and has a fixing lug for the map sensor,i did point this out to him but he still has the ad up as rs2000 header tanks lol,i did get a message back from him saying all mk5 and 6 header tanks are the same,i must point out that i have a mk5 rs2000 and know they are different as i went to ford to get a new one to find out they are no longer avalible, you can only get the zetec one which cost me £17.50 not the £25 +£10 p&p they are on fleabay
