Kit cars and MOTs...

now normally if you get a new car you dont have to get it MOTed for 3 years, but what if you build it yourself?

anyone know?

when i built mine it was sva d then no mot for 3 yrs on an age related plate , seems to be different for everyone who s built one !

no MOT for 3 years from when its regestered, but when you go to tax it the post office will want MOT, but if you fill some form in and go to post office or go to DVLA office, that gets you tax with no MOT, think thats how it works, either way, you don't need MOT for same 3 years as new cars
