I have a stg3 YB and it won't produce more than 9PSI. when I switch the ignition on the amal valve doesn't click on and off, what are my options, a new Amal, a MSD air to air injector or is the an aftermarket boost controller recommended?

just been told mine could also be broken so interested in this thread as could be in the same situation soon

test the wiring to eliminate that

dont just go replacing bits without running some checks first.

Get another amal valve if needed, can get pattern ones and aftermaket valves.

I had a problem with my amal valve fitted a new one and couldn't get more than 10 psi , in the end found out it was the jet in the air filter return on the Amal valve, after I removed that it was fine.

I've fitted a new one but that doesn't click either, should it? Also which pins are they connected to on the ECU please? I've fitted MSD closed loop and wasted spark since it's last use so I may have poor wiring, worth a free check.

I've still got a spare amal valve left over from when I had my cossie if needed.

i've been running my amal valve without the insides in it for 4 year now........but people on here will tell u it wont work......

I'll have a "spare" in around 2 months as doing without, me new K6 emerald has it inside the ecu.
