Default best spark plugs to use on a cosworth??

whats the best sort of plugs to use on my sapp cossie 4x4 stage 1 chipped? currently got champion QC57C plugs in there at mo but they need changing coz car is running poorly

do i get the same champion plugs or something else ? or get original Ford jobbies

Motorcraft 071's avalible from Mike Rainbird...the cheapest BUT best Cosworth plug to 460bhp

wouldnt put champions in my lawnmower! 071's or ngk 9's mines on 071's apx 400bhp

i run 071s and there not the best

been advised to run C57's ive ordered some will wait and see how they turn out

NGK 9's if you can find them, and u have $$$
071's otherwise, both will be fine.
Nothing wrong with C57's IMO, apart from a bit of a crappy idle, which you will no doubt know about already if you are using them,

I've used C57's and laterly 071's on Stu's reccomendation, with no complaints either way, the idle is clean and smooth with 701's though
I've only got stg1 4x4 though, and not willing to shell out $$$ on 9's when the 071's do the job just fine

I paid Ł90 for a set a Ngk 9`s

I got a few sets of the orignal AGP 701 spark plugs 0.93p each not avab any more

but the later 071`s are still avab by the boat load cheap as chips as well

I can get 100 of 071`s plugs
for what i paid for 4 NGK 9`

The R 7234-9 works very well on standard cossies & tuned/big power YB engines Not cheap, but a good investment in the long term (IF you can still get them - as they may be discontinued now).

yeah, i am struggling to get the 7234 now, superseded by the 7435 which is a fair bit more ŁŁŁ
i have a use for those 7434's tho if you need someone to buy them pugo lol (they also go in the cossie, but have a nonprojected tip)

well today got a set of motorcraft 071's (cheers Matt ) and the cars now running sweet

so it was the plugs after all just need a new battery now

looks like my cossies back on the road
