stolen recovered

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
wouldnt a stolen recovered be classed as a cat d ?
Stolen recovered cars
A car that has been stolen and recovered normally has the "category d" classification.
Because of the stigma that can be attached to category d cars, a car that has been stolen then recovered, and which has suffered no major damage can be an absolute bargain buy. Some stolen vehicles will be unrecorded and therefore uncategorised.

Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it but sadly many people do.it's very dependant upon what type of vehicle it is,what damage occurred, how old the car was in 2005 etc. I would personally say if it was already ten years or so old in 2005 it probably won't affect the value to much and I wouldn't even bother to mention it when it's being sold on.it's a tough one as 90% of people don't bother to hpi old cars so if your up front and honest you may not be doing yourself any favours but if it's newer I think personally I'd be honest about it.up to you entirely, and yes it will be catd or more likely cat c as that's why the vic or vehicle identity check came in.
