all the companys online are fukking idiots, the amount of plates ive had over the years is unreal, trhey quote silly figures then your sat there a year later with it not sold
best thing is to use common sence and advertise it yourself for the right money, you already have a rough idea what its worth so just do it and stop hopping its worth a fair bit more cause they just aint lol
unless its something special

well you never know and thats why i would like to get it valued.it means nothing to me but is a tidy number,my last saph had the plate c11 wth on it,that means absolutely nothing as nobody got that it could mean 'cosworth' but it was still worth Ł350.i didnt ask to be put down, only where i could get it valued,if its worth nothing then its no loss to me but i want to find out.if you cant tell me where to get it youre not helping me.

Its worth 800 pounds, I'll sell it for you for a commission of 25%
I will do so by adding it so some massive list of poorly advertised plates on my website, its massively unlikely anyone will ever buy it, but that doesnt bother me as ive nothing to lose, and if it does sell im quids in.
Thats roughly what an "expert" valuation will be.
Plates are worth what someone will pay for them, end of, and unless you find such a person, then its worth nothing.

My Dad had RRY 494 for years and years on most of his cars, he was told by an "expert" it was worth Ł2200 so he tried selling it, didnt get a single call after 6 months he ended up selling it on his last car, I was fucking miffed coz I thought it was coming my way when he popped his clogs.

I know mate - was bloody excellent engine - i gave it death for years it was in my car and never had to open it up at all i did get ahmed to check it over once it was fitted tho and he wrote a new chip for it so that could be the key for its longevity
i sold the engine when i stripped the car and i believe its still going strong today
Never managed to break anything but i was trying to break the box but it would just spins its wheels instead

the reg site places just give you a stupidly high price so that you will go with them and let them sell it for you,as already said it will be on their site for yrs hoping some mug will come along eventually and buy it,which they most likely wont, just advertise it privately or on ebay with a price you want,if it doesnt sell then its overpriced and you can work your way downwards
