can you please tell me why you seem to take more pleasure in england
not doing well rather than your own team/country being succesfull

for example on the radio and other internet forums and facebook etc
today all i have heard is scottish,irish and welsh people saying how much
they wanted slovenia to win which i know is to be expected....

however now we have won and are through it is instantly about how the germans are
gonna smash us in the next round !!

and also i can only speak about my friends and myself but in the last euro championship
England didnt qualify i couldnt tell you who was in it and personally didnt give a fuck as England werent there i didnt go on about who was gonna beat who and it was the same at the world cup in USA when again we (England) didnt make it !!! i know Ireland did but i
didnt give two fucks how they did and i havent got a clue how they did get on !!!

If you notice the other countries that dont want us to win, other countries that we rule i might add, are very simple countries where they have not much to offer. I was around in 1966 & its still feels good that in my lifetime we held the world Cup, I will cherish that memory to my grave & no jealous Scot or Irish will stop me talking about it . If you wernt around perhaps its best not to comment & it wont stop the fact we DID win it in 1966 .

 

Tbh i didn't think England would do it today and thought it was three lions on a plane time again,but they are there and sadly Wales are not.however to answer your question as to why people are ABE (anyone but England) it,for me falls to the fact that for the last 44 years you're still going on about winning the cup,at home yet your progress since then with the wealth of talent and money you have invested in the game,a quarter final exit,usually on penalties to me is failiure for the so called inventors of the game. I won't be devastated if they win it,like I won't be devastated if they lose to Germany,in fact,I think on performances so far germany certainly should progress but that's the joy of football,you never know what might happen.let's be honest,so far England have been total shite,the Algeria game was one of the worst I've ever seen,and I've watched plenty of third division games!!
