Anti england fans

This is solely from my point of view. I'm not an England "hater" as you would put it as I do show support for them when they do play but this is what really gets up my goat and perhaps makes the whole affair a bit "ill-disposed" if you like..
1) England have very talented INDIVIDUALS but as a TEAM they don't seem to have got it quite right yet. Until they do, I would very kindly like to ask all the commentators especially to please shut the fuck up, tell it like it is, and not over hype it.
2) For such high hopes, an easy group, and the massive talent and quality they seem to have, they've played 2 poor games and today's game against Slovenia to my mind was an average performance. Who here believes England actually played brilliantly against Slovenia? Much better by all accounts but there is still more to come I believe from this squad. We haven't seen the best of England yet and until we do is when I would like to hear all the wonderful things said about them but the commentators because right now it just isn't true.y
3) I am a British born and raised Greek Cypriot and my support is obviously for the Greek national team and also the Cypriot national team (my true home) but I do show support for England when they play.
I really do believe the media and the hype are to blame for all of this. They have way way over hyped it and thus more pressure and onus on England to perform and all the more banter on the Internet

Jay you are missing my point if you dont like football that is fair enough
if you want England to lose and go out because you fed up of the whole
media hype is a valid reason !! did you go out of your way to text a radio
show go on facebook etc etc i dont know but i doubt it !!! just to say you
dont want england to win ........
for example i dont really like tennis but you will get the whole andy murray
(i think thats his name ) media hype going on but i dont care it doesnt
interest me so i wont be bothered by it and I CERTAINLY WONT BE SLAGGING
THE GUY OFF hoping he gets beat by whoever and then gloating about it !!!!

Dont get me wrong here, I couldn't give a fuck either way as Im not into football whatesoever, but comments like that ain't going to make us want you's to win So this thread is pointless, delete.

We can be proud that we are through, unbeaten and only conceded 1 goal. Depends which angle you wish to take. Even in our worst game, Algeria, we never looked like losing.
Big teams like Spain, Germany have lost. France was in the last final and are out. Italy are in the same position as we were today and they're WORLD CHAMPIONS. Its not all doom and gloom.

Also i cant see the problem everyone has with how much sports people get paid, its not tax money that pays them its the supporters and fans money, if it doesn't go to the players it will go in someones pocket higher up in the business so whats the difference?
no1 boxers get paid upto $15,000 for 36 minutes work, how about that? lol

I'd love them to loose just so every single media outlet stops banging on about it. I'm sick of hearing about it. The sooner the world cup ends the better, and I don't give a rat's ass who wins.
If you like it, no worries, but there are actually people who don't like football. I'm also at a loss as to why following a bunch of men playing a dull game somehow makes you more patriotic. You can actually be patriotic without liking football.

My point on patriotism (whether you were directly addressing it or not, have my opinion ) was more that at least a big sporting event like this actually allows us to display some pride for being English. That seems almost frowned upon these days. The Welsh, Scots etc just carry on regardless and show immense national pride, and yet if we do it, we seem to get labelled as racist or not being PC. So I think it's nice to see people being allowed to display our national flag and things.
What I do find a bit sad is that our other sporting successes are rarely celebrated. We completely dominate F1 and motorsport in general, but it never gets mentioned especially, when our average football or tennis performances take over TV for weeks on end, yet the fact that we're responsible for a huge percentage of motorsport success just slips away without notice. Perhaps all the teams should be named England F1

aww come one people, i bet you'd rather the media was full of celebrities scratching their arses, z list sluts fucking so and so, x factor and oh, big fucking brother.
The world cup is a fun time for everyone to be on the same side for once, have fun watching it, enjoy the atmosphere everywhere while having a few drinks and a regular get together with friends and family, cant think of happier times tbh. let the world cup run forever

The WHOLE world dislikes England. You only have yourselves to blame too.
I've seen people abroad go from being weary of me and rude towards me when they think im from England, when i tell them i'm Scottish their attitudes instantly change. Its the truth.

I can understand why some people don't like the same things I like - but for some unfathomable reason footy fans never seem to understand that not everyone shares their passion.
I've never seen the lure of football, and the sooner the World Cup ends the better.

I think the wages that footballers get is so totally disproportionate with what they actually do and it pains me to see dumb-fucks like Ashley Cole and David Beckham, who can't really even string a sentence together between them earning more in a week that I have ever earnt in a year.

All the football fans seem to say we should take pride in our nation and it's sporting achievements, but if you mention another sport; they're not interested
F1 was simply an example. You could be more general given our influence and success in motorsport as a whole. Or there's snooker, with some amazing English players there, but that's boring too of course.
You have to remember; to many people, the thought of spending 90 minutes watching 22 people with the combined IQ of a tent pole chasing a bag of wind around a grass field isn't ever so appealing.

gone a little off track boys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the wages in football are obscene however you cant blame the footballers
if someone offered you 100k a week or you was in a position to negotiate yourself a
massive wage by playing 2 employers off against each other would you not ???

I wouldn't do it for a penny less, given the significance of the brain damage risk.

trade off:
Play a sport you love for a living and make lots of cash OR get caught in the rat race and live like a beggar.
If anyone of you guys were a footballer you would change your tune.

yeah and you have to remember is that it is appealing to the masses so get over it

Not a football fan as i use to play Ice Hockey as a profession.
I don't take pride in them cos i think they get to cocky and when they don't get what they want, they point fingers.
