Default After anouther ford recommendations please

Hi Im after a new ford and was wondering if anybody could recommend anything I have around £1500 to spend (not much I know) looking for something to buy with decent bodywork then mod as i go my new job is only 15min from my house so fuel useage is not a massive issue. Im open to anything really aside from a Escort RS2000 or GTI as I have already had both of them. Ive been away from the ford scene for a while but would like to get back into it.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

These are the cars Ive had in the last few years.

Mk4 Escort Base Model
Mk1 Escort
Mk5 Fiesta base model
Mk3 Fiesta base model
Mk6 Escort RS2000
Mk6 Escort GTI
Mk3 Mondeo Ghia 2 Litre
Mk4 Mondeo TDCI

Im not really keen on a mondeo again Id like something small and nippy really Im currently borrowing a 1.8 focus off of my sister and its ok but could do with a 6th gear tbh as its a bit thirsty.

Had three Zetec S's and loved them, ok not exactly spec'd up but nippy and go kart handling with a throaty little repsonsive lump and decent styling.

Some do let their lumps go often at around 50k so make sure it has been well serviced as this seems to be the culprit. Rust is also an issue on them now.

pop onto www.zsoc.com as there are always loads for sale from dogs to minters.
